VIENNA AUSTRIA
I was in Vienna for business trip last week. What amazed me most is the architecture of their buildings. Its really amazing. I wonder if Malaysia could do the same by preserving and maintaning the historical buildings i.e Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad, Ibu Pejebat Keretapi Tanah Melayu etc. I still remembered there is one building at Jalan Tun Perak which was painted in a colourful and nicely maintan.

Here are some of the pictures and info for our pleasure reading.

Once the center of power for the large Austro-Hungarian Empire, Austria was reduced to a small republic after its defeat in World War I. Following annexation by Nazi Germany in 1938 and subsequent occupation by the victorious Allies in 1945, Austria's status remained unclear for a decade. A State Treaty signed in 1955 ended the occupation, recognized Austria's independence, and forbade unification with Germany. A constitutional law that same year declared the country's "perpetual neutrality" as a condition for Soviet military withdrawal. Following the Soviet Union's collapse in 1991 and Austria's entry into the European Union in 1995, some Austrians have called into question this neutrality. A prosperous, democratic country, Austria entered the Economic and Monetary Union in 1999 - abstract from the web

New Industrial Area For Wien - commercial area

The Anchor Clock was built between 1911 and 1917 after the plans of the painter Franz von Matsch. It is situated on the oldest square of Vienna and represents a typical Art Nouveau design.

The Vienna Ring Boulevard is 4 kilometres long and circles the city centre. The construction of the Ring Boulevard was initiated by Emperor Franz Joseph I in December 1857.

Can you spot the different?
Left is the colour of the building due to pollution, dust etc, the middle building, is the building that is undergoing the process of cleaning and on the right is the building that has been polished and clean.
